Biography
Certified Alexander Art Instructor since 2002, Don Ross
teaches oil painting classes both at his studio, located in
Sweet Home, Oregon, and through Linn Benton
Community College. ( He has a passion for empowering
his students to render "personal" works of art. ) "Anyone
can do this and have a completed art work ready to frame
in just a few hours of class time," he says.
Trained in the "Wet on Wet" technique of painting, he
brings a contagious enthusiasm, and a "you-can-do-it"
attitude to his teaching. In a tribute to him, a student
wrote, "I don't think I would have continued without your
encouragement. I now have several paintings that I am
proud of. I appreciate your willingness to adapt your
teaching style... I can hardly wait until our next session."
